Tom Grinsted
Tom obtained his Bachelor of Design from Massey University majoring in Graphic Design. Shortly afterwards he traveled the world freelancing as a graphic designer. While living in Colombia he worked for the Boyaca local government webteam designing and building community websites. On his return to New Zealand Tom worked for Blackweb and became their lead designer working on their major client’s projects. In early 2008 he came to Breathe Communications and has worked on major projects such as the Earth Quake Commission’s EQ-IQ web project and the Forest and Bird website. Tom is also an experienced photographer specialising in documentary and portraiture.
At Play
A real adventurous type, Tom has been backcountry snowboarding in Canada and Austria, fly fishing in remote NZ wilderness areas, traveling alone for 6 months in India by Motorbike and crossing the Atlantic Ocean from Spain to Antigua working as part of delivery crew on a 19m sailing yacht.
