When Telecom was split into three separate divisions - retail, wholesale and network units - the company was required to create a distinct identity for the network unit. Thus, Chorus was launched - the business to build, maintain and give access to Telecom’s copper and fibre network.
Communicating the change in corporate structure and what services were now provided was not only crucial at launch, but remains an ongoing task for the Chorus team. A user-friendly website was therefore critical to clearly communicate the new brand, its services and how the company was positioned within Telecom.
TOUCH/CAST NEXT were tasked with the overall strategy, and worked with a number of other partners to develop the functional specification, overall look and feel, site build and deployment. They asked Breathe to come up with the creative approach, and look and feel for the new site. We were responsible for taking the offline identity system and bringing it to life online. Our brief was to create a site which was clean and striking, with a hint of a technical flavour that gives more than a passing nod to the audience and the service it provides. To help users understand the role that Chorus plays, TOUCH/CAST NEXT also tasked us to develop the flash modules to clearly explain how the organisation works with other providers.
